Trophies: Will be awarded to the Top 10 individuals in each of the sections. [Other prizes will be awarded as well ]
Format: All players must be United States Chess Federation members. Team awards for the top school teams USCF Rated:(USCF) members. New players (or expired members) must pay annual fee for membership.
5 SS (Swiss System: Everyone plays 5 games against players with approximately the same number of wins and losses after each round). Game/30. Sets and boards provided. Please bring clocks.
Round Times: 10:00am; 11:15am; 12:30pm; 1:45pm; 3:00pm
Registration: Early by mail $25 No later then May 10th (firm), $35 later or at the site 9:00 to 9:30am. only. No telephone entries. After 9:30 a.m. ½ point first round bye given. Signed registration form must accompany registration fee, with no exceptions. New players to the U. S. Chess Federation (or those whose memberships have expired) must also pay the annual membership fee of $21, which includes five issues of chess magazine, or $25 for youth membership fee and twelve issues of Chess Life.
Bring a pencil, a clock, and a desire to play chess.
Location: exit Colorado blvd from 5 Freeway (towards Glendale Galleria. Past Chevy Chase right turn on Wing St. and park at once.
